Here's what I've been working on this week:

This one is my favorite.  Because it just might be the story of my life! 

Like a lot of my collages, these are literary quotes.  By two brilliant writers.  Who could both write in circles.  And yet by doing so, capture the truth in a way that nobody else has ever done. 

The biggest challenge in making these?  Getting the gel medium off my hands afterwards!  Where's my Grandma Price and her bar of Lava soap when I need her! 

Happy Birthday to you, Dr. Seuss!

The older I get, the more I love the work of Dr. Seuss.  His books are brilliant.  And apparently he said a lot of brilliant things as well.  I'm a collector of quotes and a few of his rank among my very favorites.  So in honor of his birthday, I thought I would do my first-ever giveaway on this blog.  All you have to do is leave a comment telling me your favorite Dr. Seuss title or quote.  I'll randomly pick a winner and announce it on Monday.  The winner gets to choose one of these two quote collages:

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."  So brilliant and true.  7" x 5" collage on canvas. 

One of my perennial favorites and words that I try to live by.  And since I'm pretty mouthy, it's not too tough for me, either.  5" x 7" collage on canvas.
